On August 31, 2022, a new draw of Express Entry invitation was held by Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The draw of this round is cut off on score 516, a total of 2750 candidates have been invited, and the score is entering the 510-520 segment.

Compared with the previous round, this round is issue more 500 invitations, and the score is 9 points lower. It invited candidates from all categories, including the federal Canadian Experience Class, Federal skilled-Worker Class, Federal Skilled-trade, and those Provincial Nominated Program in Express Entry stream.

This is the fifth round of draw since all category’s invitation resumed in July. So far, for each invitation, the candidate number of invited have increased 250 time by time, and the score line has also dropped steadily by a range. If the next round still increases by 250 to be 3,000 candidates in total, the score line is expected to drop to between 500-510.

Since the Express Entry resumed all-category invitations on July, 10250 candidates on the high scores segment have been invited. Before this invitation, the data on August 29 showed that there were 7,690 candidates in the Express Entry pool with a score over 500. After 2,750 people draw out in this round, with considering a few new high-score candidates will enter the pool, the candidates in this high-score segment will be drastically reduced to around 5,000 people.
